From the age of 17 Arno Michaelis was deeply involved in the white power movement. He was a founding member of what became the largest racist skinhead organization in the world, a reverend of self-declared Racial Holy War, and lead singer of the race-metal band Centurion, selling over 20,000 CDs to racists round the world. After eight years living the life of a white power skinhead, Arno Michaelis left the movement for good.

In 2010 he wrote the book, “My Life After Hate.” Michaelis says “The past 500 years of human existence have been shaped by white supremacy and shaped by racism, and until we as a society own up to that it can never be reconciled and we’re never going to keel over, never going to be able to move forward.” Sponsored by UPC Nebraska & OASIS Student Advisory Board.
