Dr. Guadalupe San Miguel will present this keynote address for the 15th Annual James a. Rawley Conference in the Humanities—Conflict & Resistance. The Rawley Conference is a forum for graduate students across disciplines to present their work and receive valuable feedback from faculty.
Dr. San Miguel is a history professor at the University of Houston who studies U.S. History and specializes in Mexican American education and the Chicano Movement.His current research studies ethnicity, religion, and politics in Mexican children schooling and Latino activism in school reform.
