Professor Sarah Deer will present this keynote address for the second day of the 15th Annual James A. Rawley Conference in the Humanities—Conflict & Resistance. The Rawley conference is a forum for graduate students across disciplines to present their work and receive valuable feedback from faculty.

Sarah Deer is a professor at the University of Kansas School of Law. Her research interests include Indigenous legal studies, tribal court process and procedure, violence against Native American women, federal law reform, and Indigenous feminist legal history. Professor Deer is also the Chief Justice for Prairie Island Indian Community Court of Appeals.
