In this one-day mediation training session, David Landis, director of Lincoln’s Urban Development Department and skilled public negotiator, will talk about different mediation strategies for conflict resolution. During the session, you will learn what alternative dispute resolution is and tools that you can use to navigate conflicts or disagreements to find the best outcomes for all parties. You will even be able to practice some of the skills you’ll learn in a role-playing exercise. Whether you are solving a disagreement between a developer and a community member, an architect and a client, or even between friends or partners, mediation is a very useful skill that can improve your professional and personal lives. Understanding mediation can set you apart professionally.
Workshop is limited to just 25 students!
Registration and lunch are free.
