Miguel A. Aragón is a printmaker whose works explore subjects of violence, transient and/or persistent memory, perception and the multiple; he uses erasure as language through the use of processes that are reductive in nature.
Aragon’s work is included in various private and public collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Minneapolis Institute of Art and the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago among others. He lives and works in New York City, where he is an assistant professor in printmaking at the CUNY College of Staten Island.
Having received a residency award from the 2018 Boston Printmakers North American Print Biennial, he is in Lincoln as an artist in residence at Constellation Studios, April 18-26.
