October is the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt. The Medieval and Renaissance Studies Program is going to hold a celebration of the event in the Heritage Room (#209) in the City Campus Union.

Dr. Stephen Buhler will discuss the St. Crispin’s speech from several different film and TV versions of Henry V.

Dr. Pamela Starr will discuss the profound impact the battle and its aftermath had on the shape of Renaissance music. The late medieval English composer John Dunstaple’s motet “Quam pulchra es” will be performed by singers led by Matt Oltman (former director of the music group Chanticleer).

There will be a short presentation on the life of Henry V by Adam Lambert, and a reading of the St. Crispin’s speech by Dr. Ian Borden.
