The English Advising Office would be hosting area high school students for full day experience on February 5-7. This year, the “English & Film Studies Major for a Day” program also includes a History Major for a Day to reflect our collaboration with the Department of History. The college recruitment office has asked to use our English recruitment visits as a model for other departments. Potential students can register for one of the three dates.
On the day of their scheduled visit, students will connect with current majors (our English Student Advisory Board representatives), attend classes, and meet faculty. This experience helped make our department real for our visitors last year and helped the students feel invested before starting their first semester. Faculty are invited to RSPV to the English Advising Office to join in welcoming visiting high school students to breakfast.
