Harm Reduction is a set of practical strategies and ideas aimed at reducing negative consequences associated with drug use. Harm Reduction is also a movement for social justice built on a belief in, and respect for, the rights of people who use drugs. During this session we will briefly review the history and core principles of harm reduction and break into discussion on topics including, but not limited to, safer consumption spaces, syringe services programs, harm reduction policy implementation, and best practices from around the world.

If you have any questions or comments beforehand, please feel free to reach out to Joe Caldwell at jcaldwell4@unl.edu.

This month we will use the Zoom link below, and host a discussion until 1:00pm. See you there!
