In this discussion and visual presentation, UNL English professors James Brunton and Timothy Schaffert trace the evolution of queer content in comics, and the role of comics in queer activism and visibility. In addition, Brunton will discuss his graphic/novel-in-progress From the Neck Up, and Schaffert will discuss his research on pioneering gay cartoonists Matt Baker and Steve Abbott.
