Join us for our virtual February Seminar Series event featuring a presentation by Alian Kasabian on “Data Sharing Considerations in Substance Use Research.” The presentation will explore types of data sharing, data organization, de-identification, legalities, and some risk factors.
Alian is a data nerd, which is good given her jobs as the Director of the Methodology and Evaluation Research Core Facility, and the Research Data and Security Liaison in the Office of Research and Economic Development at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). In both roles, she focuses on data management, data sharing, protection of participants, and communicating findings in accessible language. She obtained her PhD and master’s degree in Sociology from UNL.
