Explore robotic welding, automating your way through unique hands-on challenges with precision and efficiency.
Modern robotic welding is more in-demand than ever, and with The American Welding Society predicting a job gap of 336,000 welders needed by 2026, that gap is being felt more than ever in states like Nebraska. This course brings any student – regardless of skill level – up to speed with Vectis Automation’s Collaborative Robot Welding Cell, covering essential topics including planning efficient welding tasks, designing effective fixtures, managing labor, and ensuring high-quality welds. The course also explores the benefits and limitations of robotic versus traditional welding and culminates in a practical project where participants apply their skills to complete real-world welding tasks with zero human intervention – demonstrating the true power of automating one of the region’s most in-demand skillsets.
Included:
- All materials, tools, and equipment used in class
- Welding helmets, jackets, gloves, and PPE (close-toed shoes required)
- Course materials and reference manuals
- Take-home project and completion certificate
