Each spring the Department of Marketing at UNL hosts the Robert Mittelstaedt Marketing Doctoral Symposium. Modeled after the Haring Symposium held annually at Indiana University, participant schools send representatives to Lincoln for a two-day symposium emphasizing dissertation research. Participating universities include Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Wyoming, Washington State, West Virginia, and Wisconsin-Madison.
