In this session, Dr. Elina Ibrayeva, associate professor of practice in management, shares lessons from her 15-year journey into mindfulness, literature and practice. The concept of mindfulness is a new and popular approach to how people can be more creative, resilient, optimistic and overall, a more effective leader. Elina will discuss the most general theory of mindfulness, major principles, and mindfulness practices and exercises. Participants will be asked to contribute their stories, examples, and questions.
Anyone who has an interest in cultivating their awareness and presence as a leader should attend this program. This doesn’t mean you have to be a manager or supervise employees. Everyone in every capacity of their careers has the opportunity to be a leader. If you’re interested in how to be more thoughtful in your decision making, more imaginative in your role, conscious to the world/people around you and want to grow in your professional development, you should definitely attend this program!
