Researchers to Discuss Brain’s Role in Dyslexia April 2
A pair of internationally recognized CYFS faculty affiliates will clarify popular misconceptions about dyslexia during an April 2 Creating Connections Speaker Series presentation.
Drs. Dennis and Victoria Molfese, Chancellor’s Professors at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will present “The Brain’s Role in Dyslexia: A True Story with a Happy Ending” from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Nebraska Union’s Regency A Suite. The presentation is free, open to the public and requires no registration.
The researchers will present their latest findings on how the brain impacts students’ reading proficiency and disability, dispelling numerous myths that have arisen in recent years. They will also address how the brain changes in response to effective intervention approaches.
