Learn some of the norms of whiteness. These norms tend to dominate predominantly white institutions and set the tone for how things get done and who is valued. Identifying the norms is the first step in being able to challenge them and imagine a more affirming environment for people who have been historically excluded or not valued.

Introducing the CEHS AFIRE Pledge Program! Faculty and staff in the college will have the opportunity to take a pledge to strive for inclusive excellence in 2020. The pledge will contain a commitment to attend at least three events each semester to increase awareness and knowledge about diversity and inclusion issues and strategies for inclusive excellence.
