Join the Nebraska Invasive Species Council for its monthly meeting. Meetings serve as a forum for the discussion, identification, and understanding of invasive species issues, awareness, and mitigation practices throughout the state. All are welcome to contribute and share their insights on invasives species prevention, control, and management.

February’s meeting will feature a guest presentation from Mercy Manzanares, Program Coordinator for Monarch Joint Venture, discussing the recent proposed rule by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to designate Threatened Species Status with
Section 4(d) Rule for Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus) and Designation of Critical Habitat and the impact on invasive species.
