Join Dr. Harry L. Williams for an interactive lecture exploring the intersecting legacies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Thurgood Marshall on January 28, 2025, at 12:00-1:15 in Room 111. Dr. Williams will discuss their pivotal contributions to civil rights and legal advancements, and how students can continue their work in shaping the future of American law and society.
Dr. Harry L. Williams is the President & CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), which represents 53 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Under his leadership, TMCF has seen significant growth, fostering strategic partnerships with major corporations and advancing the legislative agenda for HBCU sustainability. Dr. Williams has also served as President of Delaware State University and is a recognized leader in higher education.
This event has been approved for 1.0 continuing education credit in Nebraska.
