Graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln are invited to participate in the 2025 Engineering Pitch Competition. The competition is hosted by the College of Engineering and NUtech Ventures.
The Pitch Competition will take place on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 from 4:30-7:30pm at the College of Engineering’s Kiewit Hall, Room A211 on the Lincoln City Campus.
Guidelines:
Teams can have 1-5 participants, with at least one participant from the College of Engineering. Interdisciplinary teams are strongly encouraged.
The team must be focused on solving an engineering problem.
Individuals may only register once for this competition and may not compete on more than one team.
Judging Criteria and Awards:
The competition is judged based on participants’ ability to identify an important problem, formulate a value proposition related to solving that problem, estimate market size and describe their business model. Technical details will only be discussed at a very high level.
The competition features prizes for the top three finalists. All prize money must be used to further develop the business idea (travel, materials for prototypes, etc.).
