CICL 101 teaches Chinese to children in easy steps to help them establish a solid foundation of vocabulary, knowledge of Chinese, and basic communication skills. This course is designed to emphasize the development of basic skills in listening, speaking, and reading Chinese. Course content for this class includes introduction of Pinyin; lessons on Chinese numbers and dates; self-introduction and greeting people; explanations of basic strokes of Chinese; and tracing of some Chinese characters.
