A free grain-marketing workshop scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 3, at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff will help grain producers minimize losses during this time of low commodity prices.
The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Nebraska Extension Educators will present location and commodity specific marketing information. Topics include developing a written marketing plan, and understanding basis and carrying charges.
The workshops feature the Marketing in a New Era simulator and the Grain Marketing Plan smart phone application.

Workshops are funded by the Nebraska Corn Board and the Nebraska Soybean Board. Complimentary lunch is sponsored by West Plains LLC. The workshop is limited to 40 participants.
