SUMMARY:Hunting Workshop for Landowners
STATUS:CONFIRMED
DESCRIPTION:According to Nebraska Game and Parks\, 97% of the land in Nebra
ska is privately owned. Therefore\, obtaining access to private lands is o
ne of the biggest challenges facing today’s hunters. However\, some land
owners are hesitant\, given the potential liability of allowing hunters on
their property. \n\nIn order to address these challenges\, Nebraska Exten
sion\, in partnership with USDA NRCS\, Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever
will host a Hunting Workshop for landowners from 9 to 10\:30 a.m.\, on Oc
 t. 13\, at the Lied Scottsbluff Public Library\, 1809 3rd Avenue. \n\nThis
workshop will cover\: \n\n•	Nebraska recreation and agrotourism laws\
 n•	Ways to mitigate liability\n•	Wildlife conservation programs\n•	I
nteractions between hunting access and conservation programs\n\nThis works
hop is free to attend\, but registration is encouraged. To register\, call
the Panhandle Research & Extension Center at 308-632-1230.
