“Diagrams and Animations with TikZ, Beamer, and Gnuplot”
In this presentation, I will demonstrate techniques for using TikZ (a package for drawing diagrams in LaTeX), beamer (the LaTeX document class for presentations), and gnuplot (freely available, non-interactive software for plotting functions and data) to create diagrams and animations that, in a digital environment, could replace diagrams that one might draw and display on a whiteboard or document camera in a physical environment.
Attendees are encouraged to suggest types of diagrams they might draw in a physical environment and we can work together to use the tools to reproduce the diagrams/animations digitally.
