Enjoy fun, fellowship, and delicious food & dishes at a series of Cultural Cuisine Nights, happening the first Tuesday of every month from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in Cather Dining Center.
March’s celebration is Indian Culture Night.
MENU
Entrees:
• Halal Tandoori Chicken – roasted chicken thigh marinated in yogurt and spices
• Halal Chicken Vindaloo – a spicy chicken curry made with caramelized onion and hot peppers
• Cod Masala – seared marinated cod in a creamy masala sauce
• Aloo Gobi – a vegetarian dish made with potatoes, cauliflower, spices, and herbs
• Rajma Chawal – a Punjabi-style curry made with kidney beans and spices
Appetizers:
• Basmati Rice
• Naan – a traditional flatbread
• Samosa – a fried pastry with a savory vegetarian filling
• Pulao – a traditional seasoned rice dish with mint, coriander, lemon, and vegetables
Soup:
• Mulligatawny – a curry soup made with fresh vegetables, apples, and spices
Desserts and more:
• Rice Kheer – pudding
• Fresh Fruit
• Mint chutney, hummus, and Raita-salad bar
Drinks:
• Lassi-mango – a traditional yogurt-based drink
PRICES
- For all students with a Meal Plan, this event is included.
- For international students without a Meal Plan, register for tickets at https://go.unl.edu/cuisine-night-tickets or visit the ISSO Office (Louise Pound Hall, Room 130) for a $5 event ticket. Only 150 tickets are available.
