This year’s retreat features a keynote speaker, Ebony McGee, who will discuss strategies for improving the research climate for diverse students and faculty. McGee is associate professor of diversity and STEM education, and associate professor of medicine, health and society, at Vanderbilt University. Faculty primarily interested in hearing McGee’s 10 a.m. talk, titled “Black, Brown, Bruised: How Racialized STEM Education Stifles Innovation,” will have an opportunity to register just for this session.
