Feeling down? Anxious? There is (supposedly) an app for that! Mental health apps and technology are supposed to expand the reach of mental health resources, basically delivering automated treatment. People largely said they wanted mental health apps, and Dr. Trey Andrews, assistant professor of psychology and Ethnic Studies and associate director for the Minority Health Disparities Initiative at UNL, helped design one of them. He will discuss the challenges in getting apps to live up to their promise and potential solutions (hint: researchers may still need help from real people).
