The Rural Drug Addiction Research (RDAR) Center, the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts, and Worlds of Connections are excited to announce a hybrid screening of the film “Coming Clean,” featuring a live Q&A with its award-winning Director, Ondi Timoner.
As a hybrid event, the screening will take place both in person at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center as well as online. However you wish to attend, please join us on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 4:30pm for this important examination of the opioid crisis in the United States.
“Coming Clean” is a feature documentary examining addiction through the eyes of people in recovery and political leaders, as they come together to bring the profiteers to justice and rebuild in the wake of the deadliest drug epidemic in our history. The “Coming Clean” community is driven by a shared belief system: that in order to disarm this very real threat to American Life we must investigate our country’s devastating trend toward loneliness, separation, and the demonization of addiction.
Ondi Timoner is known to be one of the greatest talents in non-fiction filmmaking. She often takes on the stories of visionaries fighting against all odds with a gripping and unique mixed-media, narrative style. Timoner is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the DGA, the PGA, the International Documentary Association, Film Fatales, and Women in Film.
This event is FREE and OPEN to the public. All are welcome, and there is no charge to attend this event.
