Take a journey through climate change with a visit to the traveling exhibit, “Real People, Real Climate, Real Changes,” from March 14 – May 13, 2022, located on the second floor of Love Library North. The family friendly and interactive exhibit will demonstrate how climate is changing and how those changes are affecting people’s lives around the country and the world. Admission to this exhibit and both events is free of charge.

The exhibit, developed by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) Center for Science Education will demonstrate, with scientific evidence and stories from various impacted communities, how the climate is changing and impacting real people from Midwest farmers to coastal residents. The exhibit also offers solutions that others have implemented and invites attendees to get ideas on how to take action to help address climate change.

The exhibit is hosted and events are sponsored by the Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences and the University Libraries. The exhibit is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

NCAR is a center of research excellence in Earth system science sponsored by the National Science Foundation. NCAR provides the Earth science community with state-of-the-art resources and rich education and outreach opportunities. NCAR was the NSF’s first federally funded research and development center and is managed by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR), a non-profit consortium of over 120 colleges and universities. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has been a member of UCAR since 1979.
