This virtual opportunity will take place during Prof. Elana Zeide’s Legal Profession class over two days (April 21 & 22, 2022) and will be presented by guest lecturer Stuart Gold, former partner at Cravath, Swaine, & Moore.
(1) “Look What You Made Me Do”—How to analyze ethical issues;
(2) “Lawyers Engaged — Court Enraged”—Helping significant others with their legal work;
(3) “Bad Moon Rising”—Know thy client rules;
(4) “Whoops I Did It Again”—Ethically handling mistakes;
(5) “Why Are You on Facebook”—Competence/social media/technology and ethics;
(6) “Bad to the Bone”—Ethically dealing with odious (repugnant) clients/difficult clients and causes/when do you get to decide? A significant focus will be on Nebraska Rules of Professional Conduct Sections 3-501.1, 3-501.2, 3-501.3, 3-501.4, 3-501.7, 3-501.16, 3-504.4, 3-506.2, 3-508.4, as well as equivalent provisions under the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct.
