Participate in the 4-H Egg Production Pen of Three Laying Hen Project
From our 4-H Embryology Program, 4-Hers have the opportunity to acquire 5 egg production pullet chicks which they can grow out and show as a Laying Hen Trio at the 2022 Sarpy County Fair. This project encourages 4-Hers to raise and care for a production-type chicken and teaches youth about the poultry project. 5 Pullets will be given to 4-H Families on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis, while supplies last. (WE are literally counting our chicks before they hatch!) Only 100 chicks (20 families) will be available on each for each pick up day. Chicks must be picked up from the Douglas-Sarpy Extension Office from 4:30-6:00pm on Friday, January 28h or Friday February 4th. There will be no holds. 4-H Youth must be active, enrolled 4-H Members for 2022. Sign up at this link: https://forms.gle/QH1wffYrav8xiJYi7
