Yeyin Shi is an assistant professor and agricultural information system engineer in the Department of Biological System Engineering. She is originally from Jiangsu, China, located at the bottom of the longest river in Asia where rice production was originated thousands of years ago. Yeyin came to the United States for her graduate study and obtained both of her M.S. and Ph.D at the Oklahoma State University. She started at University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2017 and has been proud of being a member of the UNL Digital Agriculture team. In this talk, Yeyin will share her vision and work in the area of Digital Agriculture so far, as well as her experience as an international student navigating through a totally different culture and educational system.
