Dear colleagues,

The UNL chapter of the Rhetoric Society of America would like to invite you to come join us for our first meeting of the semester on Friday, January 23 at noon in the 207 Andrews Hall.

The UNL-RSA provides an interdisciplinary forum for gathering as scholars and graduate and undergraduate students of rhetoric. Whether you study, teach, or are just interested in learning more about the field of rhetoric, the UNL-RSA wants to welcome you to come join in our conversations.

On Friday, January 23, we will briefly offer an introduction to our organization and open the floor to discuss possible events for this semester. Following this time, Ashanka Kumari will read from her paper: “Yoü and I: Identity and the Performance of Self in Lady Gaga and Beyoncè,” a piece she will present at the Southwest American and Popular Culture Association conference in Albuquerque, NM in February. This event is expected to last less than an hour.

If you have any questions and/or are interested in reading/presenting at a future RSA event this semester, please feel free to email Ashanka at akkumari@crimson.ua.edu.
