UPDATE: due to UNL weather closure on Thursday, Feb. 16, the original workshop schedule has been updated as follows. The February workshop will be held virtually via Zoom 1-5p.m. on Thursday, February 16, and 9a.m.-1p.m. on Friday, February 17 in-person at the Wick Alumni Center.

The Office of Research and Economic Development is sponsoring a two-part workshop series to provide prospective applicants with proposal development strategies specific to the NIH Research Project Grant (R01) mechanism. Part 1 of the series (Sept. 2022) focused on Structuring NIH Proposals and Specific Aims.

Part 2 of the series will focus on Research Strategy (Feb. 16) and Resubmissions (Feb. 17). Attendees for the Resubmissions session should have previously submitted to NIH and received a summary statement. AtKisson Training Group will lead the series.

The February workshop will be held virtually via Zoom 1-5p.m. on Thursday, February 16 and 9a.m.-1p.m. on Friday, February 17 in-person at the Wick Alumni Center. Friday’s workshop includes a complimentary box lunch.

NIH R01 Development Workshop, Part 2 is free, and registration is required by February 13. This workshop series is offered primarily for University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty. However, research staff, postdoctoral research fellows and graduate students are encouraged to register and will be able to attend if space permits. Upon submission of registration, they will be placed on a waitlist and notified by Feb. 14 if they are able to attend.
