Master Gardener Training Sessions: Starts Feb. 16, 2010-May 18, 2010
The 2010 Master Gardener Training sessions are about to begin on Tuesday, February 16th from 6:30 to 9:00 PM. Plans are underway to offer this program to residents of Otoe, Nemaha and Cass counties. Gary Lesoing, Extension Educator from Nemaha county and Vaughn Hammond, Extension Technologist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Kimmel Education and Research Center in Nebraska City are teaming up to present this program to interested individuals from Southeast Nebraska. Presentations will include 6 core programs presented to all Master Gardener trainees throughout the State via the internet as well as face to face presentations covering a broad range of horticulture related topics at locations in Nebraska City and Auburn. Sessions are 6:30-9:00 Tuesday evenings February 16th through March 23rd and 6:30 -9:30 Tuesday evenings March 30th through May 18th. The cost is $125.00 which includes a Master Gardeners Manual filled with a wealth of horticulture related information and 14 training sessions. Couples attending together can share a manual at a cost of $200.00.
