Successful completion of this course grants an exemption to a federal law prohibiting 14- and 15-year olds from driving a tractor or doing field work with mechanized equipment on farms other than their parents’. The two-day class consists of intensive classroom instruction with hands-on learning and written, driving and machinery tests. An optional third day of training is available at some class sites; check with the county host for availability.
