Being a first-gen college student can be tough - but you’re not alone! The first-gen share-a-meal is a time for first-gen students to meet instructors and staff members that are also first-gen. This is an opportunity to meet new people or to get to know your pre-existing connections better!
You don’t need a meal plan to participate - this event provides a free meal to all first gen students that attend! Just scan your Ncard with one of the volunteers when you arrive.
This year’s share-a-meal will be held in the Cather Dining Center Lark private dining room.

The term “first-generation” applies to the one in four UNL students who come from families whose parents/guardians do not have a four-year degree.
