Being a first generation college student can be tough - but you’re not alone! The First Gen Share-a-meal is a time for first gen students to meet instructors and staff members that are also first gen. This is an opportunity to meet new people or to get to know your pre-existing connections better!
You don’t need a meal plan to participate - this event provides a free meal to all first gen students that attend! Just scan your Ncard with one of the volunteers when you arrive.
This semester’s share-a-meal will be held in the Cather Dining Center Lark private dining room.

The term “first-generation” applies to the one in four UNL students who come from families whose parents/guardians do not have a four-year degree.
