Marc Evans is a producer and principal of Marc Evans Productions with a deal at Skydance Media. In addition to various projects in development, Marc recently produced “THE OLD GUARD” for Netflix starring Charlize Theron and KiKi Layne, which had 78 million viewers in its first month and is Netflix’s 6th most watched original movie of all time. In 2019, he produced “LIKE A BOSS” starring Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, and Salma Hayek. In 2018, he produced “INSTANT FAMILY” starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne.
Prior to 2018, Marc Evans was the President of the Motion Picture Group at Paramount where he was responsible for the studio’s film operations from development to release. In addition to managing the Creative/Development group, he also oversaw Animation, Casting, Business Affairs, and Physical Production, including Film & Development Finance, Post Production, and Music.
At Paramount, Evans supervised many of the studio’s most critically and commercially successful films and worked repeatedly with the film industry’s top filmmakers. Under his leadership, Paramount released such films as “A QUIET PLACE,” “ANNIHILATION,” “FENCES,” “ARRIVAL,” “THE BIG SHORT”, “10 CLOVERFIELD LANE”, “INTERSTELLAR,” “SELMA,” “NOAH,” “THE WOLF OF WALL STREET,” “NEBRASKA,” “WORLD WAR Z,” and “THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON,” and “ZODIAC.”
Franchises Evans shepherded include the series “MISSION IMPOSSIBLE,” “JACK REACHER,” “TRANSFORMERS,” “STAR TREK”, “TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES,” and “G.I. JOE,” “PARANORMAL ACTIVITY,” and “THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE.”
Prior to joining Paramount, Evans served as Executive Vice- President of Laura Ziskin Productions and Vice- President of Industry Entertainment.
Before moving to Los Angeles, Evans served as Program Director of the Chicago International Film Festival for five years. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago where he was Chairman of the Documentary Film Group (DOC Films), the nation’s oldest student run film group.
Evans is married to Kirsten Albrecht. They have two children, Gideon and Harper.
