The State of Nebraska’s longest continually performing music ensemble, the Varsity Chorus (tenors and basses) formed when the University was founded, will be performing in a live webcast on April 25th at 6:30 pm. It will be broadcast from UNL’s Kimball Recital Hall. Music will include traditional male chorus standards along with new music, and a diverse set of world music (multi-language inspired by Arabic texts from the Middle East), North American folk songs, and standards from antiquity. Of course, their portion of the concert will end with their traditional “Nebraska Fafare,” a medley of the “Nebraska Fight Song,” “Hail Varsity,” and “I’m Proud to Say That I’m From Nebraska.”

University Chorale is proud to celebrate women with songs about the experiences and lives of women and all written by women.

The Varsity Chorus begins at 6:30 p.m., the University Chorale begins at 7:30.

No in-person audience.
