The Moran Woodwind Quartet (four woodwinds, no horn) makes its official Glenn Korff School of Music debut on Sunday, March 20 at 3 PM in Westbrook’s Recital Hall. Entitled “Range of Motion,” the program features a recent work by American composer, Alyssa Morris, called “Motion”, a fun, rhythmic, challenging work in four movements. Beginning the program is the melodious quartet by Austrian composer Karl Goepfart, known primarily for early 20th-century choral compositions. The program also includes a transcription of Six Cuban Dances, originally for piano by the 19th-century composer, Ignacio Cervantes, and two recent original works by American composers: Rumba by Chris Allen and Quatuor Parisienne (Parisian Quartet) by Charles Fernandez.

This event is free and open to the public.
