At this IGNITE colloquium we will be hearing from Melanie Coombs, an award-winning producer of animation, documentary and dramatic film and television!
Her awards include the Academy Award for HARVIE KRUMPET, the Asia Pacific Screen Award for MARY AND MAX and the AFI Award for BREAK AND ENTER. And THE DEATH AND LIFE OF OTTO BLOOM was the Opening Night film of the Melbourne International Film Festival, July 2016.
Melanie was Production Supervisor and Co-Producer on the Academy Award winning Stopmotion animated feature film GUILLERMO DEL TORO’S PINOCCHIO and is currently working for ShadowMachine PDX as Producer on IN THE KNOW (Zach Woods, Brandon Gardner & Mike Judge) for Peacock/NBCU.
Melanie is an Ambassador for Screenrights, a member of the Screen Producers Association of Australia, the Australian Academy Cinema and Television Arts and a member of the Animation Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences®, Women in Film, Women in Animation and ASIFA.
