A review of the global threats to global food security. We will discuss key milestones, impact indicators, policies, and practices from global, national, and local perspectives. In addition, we will describe interventions and actions
that are needed now and provide a roadmap out of food insecurity for 2021
and beyond.

In addition to serving as a global expert for the Nebraska Youth Institute, Dr. Georgina Bingham joined the Department of Entomology as a research associate professor in September 2020 and leads the Stored Product Pest Laboratory. She currently works closely with the USDA, KSU, OSU, Purdue and Illinois universities on several food security related grants, and has expertise ranging from animal science/livestock production, horticulture, stored products, and digital platforms/smart phone apps for small scale farmer microwarehousing/trading solutions.
