Graduate Studies will offer the Orientation for New Teaching Assistants (TAs) on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. The program will take place in person from about 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. This orientation will cover information on teaching resources and UNL policies, as well as workshops on grading and assessment, classroom management and building student rapport, and effective lesson planning. A panel of experienced TAs will be available for questions, and students will be provided access to teaching resources on Canvas. This program is designed as an introduction to teaching for new TAs in a variety of roles.
