DESCRIPTION:Leila Wood\, Professor at the University of Texas Health Scienc
 e Center at Houston (UTHealth) McGovern Medical School and Director of Res
 earch and Evaluation at the Center for Violence Prevention\, will present 
 "Addressing the Economic and Health Impacts of Intimate Partner Violence" 
 at our April Health Equity Grand Rounds event. \n\nDr. Wood will present o
 n how Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) impacts health outcomes and economic
  stability for survivors\, while also addressing how health and economic n
 eeds can help to prevent IPV re-victimization. In this presentation\, rese
 arch on community-based economic and health strategies will be shared\, al
 ong with implementation strategies.\n\nDr. Wood's research is focused on i
 ntervention development and testing\, program evaluation\, longitudinal\, 
 and community-based methods. She is a mixed methods researcher and social
