The course will be led by Valerie Williams, a counselor and trainer with the Employee Assistance Program. Williams is a certified Seven Principles educator and has completed level one training of Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
The class is designed for any couple in a committed relationship. Topics will include:
*Fostering respect, affection and closeness in a relationship
*Building and sharing a deeper connection with each other
*Keeping conflict discussions calm and breaking through conflicted gridlock
*Strengthening and maintaining gains in a relationship
Contact the EAP at 402-472-3107 to register before the deadline on September 5. A one-time fee of $49 covers educational materials, including two guides, a copy of the “Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work” and Love Maps and Open-Ended Questions card decks.

Classes, all of which are 4 to 5 p.m. in the Nebraska Union, begin Oct. 10 and continue for six Thursdays. Additional meeting dates are Oct. 17, Oct. 24, Oct. 31, Nov. 7 and Nov. 21.
