The free offering, “Learn the Blueprint for a Sound Relationship House,” will feature a two-hour informational session designed to be a lighthearted overview of the essential components for relationship vitality. Participants will complete a brief, confidential questionnaire to identify areas of strength, challenge and target areas where corrective assistance is needed.

Participants are welcome to attend with their partner, but it is not required.

The information is based on the couples research of John and Julie Gottman. The program name is a metaphor to explain what it takes to enrich marital friendship, learn to manage conflict, and create ways to support each other’s hopes for the future.

The course will be led by Valerie Williams, a counselor and trainer with the Employee Assistance Program. Williams is a certified Seven Principles educator and has completed levels one and two training of Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

For questions and to register, contact the Employee Assistance Program at 402-472-3107 or eap@unl.edu.
