Farmers have grown and fed our nation for decades. In 1920, 14% of farms in the United States were Black-owned. Today, due to years of documented systemic racism, discriminatory lending, and racist conservation practices, less than 2% of farms are Black-owned. It’s time for us to address this growing issue.

We can’t erase the past, but we can raise awareness, cultivate action, and create a space where the future of black farming in America can grow and thrive.

Join us for a Black Farmers Policy Forum on March 28, 2022, at 6 pm ET/ 3 pm PT, where we will bring farmers and policymakers together to discuss farming equity.

We will also cover key actions that you can take to ask your representatives to do a better job supporting equitable practices in farming.

Sign up to be a part of this interactive policy forum and learn from legislators who are currently championing agricultural bills to support minority farmers. You’ll also hear from Kamal Bell, a nationally known farmer, who will discuss the many ways that state and federal policy proposals can level the playing field and innovate the future of black farming.
