After a brief introduction to spreadsheet terminology and Excel’s interface, attendees will enter and edit text, values, and formulas. Attendees will also move and copy data, learn about absolute and relative references, and work with ranges, rows, and columns. We will cover simple functions, basic formatting techniques, and printing. While taught in a Windows environment, the skills learned are easily transferred to a Macintosh environment.
At the end of the workshop, attendees will be familiar with:
*Spreadsheet terminology
*The Excel environment
*Navigating a worksheet
*Entering and editing text and values
*Entering and editing formulas and functions, including AutoSum
*Moving and copying data and formulas
*Absolute and relative references
*Inserting and deleting ranges, rows, and columns
*Formatting cells
*Copy and paste formatting
*How to format and prepare your worksheets to print
