Whether you love Apple Jack for the tasty festival food or you just love to experience something new and different, University of Nebraska – Lincoln’s Kimmel Education & Research Center should be marked as a destination for your 2010 Apple Jack experience. Southeast Nebraska will be the showcase as UNL’S Kimmel adventures from birding to beef and grapes to “green.”

The excitement will begin right next to Kimmel Orchard on Saturday, September 18, 2010. Explore what makes Nebraska so great while enjoying demonstrations on a variety of topics throughout the day. Demonstrations include sampling of fresh caramel and delicious new beef cuts!

Also sharing a taste of the Cornhusker State are some uniquely Nebraskan organizations selling appetizing treats and creative products. Nebraska 4-H’s mascot, Lil’ Green, will make an appearance on Saturday only so be sure not to miss him! Events and demonstrations will continue at UNL’s Kimmel Education & Research Center through Sunday, September 19, 2010.
