For the second year, the Medieval and Renaissance Studies Program and the Nebraska Archives and Special Collections are collaborating on the “For the Love of Books” celebration to support students in Medieval and Renaissance Studies and conservation of special collection rare books from the Medieval and Renaissance periods. This year’s event will feature musical entertainment from the band Tupelo Springfield (professors Stephen Buhler, Jack Vespa, and Kelly Stage) and vocalist Julia Schleck.

A small curated selection of rare books available for “adoption” will be on display. The event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be available.

For a list of books with detailed descriptions, options to make a general donation or to adopt a book, go to: https://www.unl.edu/medren/love-books. For more details about the celebration contact Kelly Stage, Director of the Medieval and Renaissance Studies program, kstage2@unl.edu.
