October is American Archives Month! To celebrate, History Nebraska and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Archives and Special Collections invites you to Night at the Archives. Most of our collections are out of the public view in special storage. But today, the archivist and curators at both History Nebraska and the UNL Archives are throwing open the doors for a series of archives tours.

– Rare and unique items on display: rarely seen highlights from the Manuscript, Photograph, Government, Library, and Audiovisual Collection
– Behind the scene tours of the archival stacks and Reference Room
– Demos of the digital imaging lab and audiovisual digital lab
– Early maps of Nebraska
– Historic mugshots from the Omaha Police Court, and original glass plate negatives from the legendary Solomon Butcher Collection
– Meet the curators and archivists

Refreshments available.
Location: Love Library South, Lower Level, Rooms 18 and 29 and History Nebraska Headquarters
